Quantified Self and the Electronic Health Record
This project explores the “Quantified Self” concept within Personal Health Informatics to inform a redesigned Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. The low-fidelity prototype integrates user-entered health data to create a more connected experience between patients and healthcare providers. By allowing patients to share self-tracked wellness information, the design aims to facilitate more authentic, data-informed conversations during appointments. The prototype also introduces an integrated mental and physical health record for practitioners, promoting a more holistic view of patient well-being. The doctor’s view incorporates elements from the Health Design Challenge as required by the project brief, with additional modifications and enhancements to support usability and patient-centered design principles.
